***June 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

I like to see a Math section first, simply because that’s what I’m used to after practice tests and such.

What do you guys think -2 math mc would score?

@wchristen89 I think -1 would probably be 790/780…so I would guess -2 would be 760/750. I would like to say 760, however, due to what people are saying it sounds like the curve may not be very lenient and therefore a 750 is morel likely.

how many can I get wrong if I get 7/10 on the grid in for math and omit a total of 4 questions to get a 650?

Six lines intersect at one point to form 12 equal angles that are non- overlapping. What is the measure, in degrees, of one of these angles? I got it wrong. Choices were 15, 20 ,30 ,45, 60. I picked 15 because 180/12 = 15 but in the explanation, it mentioned something how a circle is 360 and if you divide by 12 you get 30(correct answer) why do I have to use 360 instead of 180? please help. that was a low question too :-S feel like a moron for getting it wrong

Draw 6 lines intersecting on a sheet of paper right now with equal angles, you will visually see that the angles themselves form a circle (360°) @Sat2014

@sat2014 I’d say you could get as many as 3 wrong additionally and still get a 650.

@Kreig01‌ thanks, I usually answer 7 out of 10 correct on the grid ins and usually skip a total of 4 on the math meaning I pretty much have to go perfect on easy and mediums and maybe get a couple hards wrong.

June 26th at 5:00 a.m. EST the scores are coming out, right?

I think so. 5am EST= 4am CST= 3am PST?

anybody taking the SAT in October? that would be my 4th time taking it. I know I didn’t reach my goal this time so I bought plenty of resources to help me get my 1900+

@humbugs - It would be 2am PST

Have you taken the ACT @sat2014 ? If not, I would strongly suggest studying for that (if you haven’t taken more than one time yet), instead of doing a fourth SAT.
Also: If I don’t get my desired score on this one, I might take the October SAT as well.

@mizejonathan17‌ I looked at the ACT and personally I am not a big fan of it. Going to stick it out and try to get my desired score in October. I really want an 1800 this time. The writing was my savior on this recent SAT. going to need to prepare better for math and the reading passages. a little bit of vocab study is also good and I will definitely do some writing as well because I know I got a couple wrong. What score would you have to get to take it again?

-2 was a 770 in march (math section) for reference but that was a very generous curve

I’m expecting a 740-750 :(

@satletsgo‌ man that’s harsh. I usually skip 4 for math and usually get 3 grid ins incorrect so for me to get a 700 is basically impossible :(

what is your favorite and least favorite section for math? i enjoy numbers and operations but hate geometry. algebra and functions and geometry killed me on my may SAT

@sat2014 If I don’t get at least a 2150, I’ll probably take it again in October.
I’m not a big fan of the ACT either. I took my first one last week. Good luck with your goals! Just stick it out through all the practice tests and studying and you’ll meet your desired score.

I’m good at all math sections except numbers and operations for some reason lol I studied it really hard this time and yet the one math question I know I missed was a numbers and operations question- and it was easy too!
