@mizejonathan17 thanks, I know my potential and I raised my standards from an 1800 to a 2000. I think math will be the easiest score to improve on once I get down the material. I’m aiming for high 600’s in Math 700+ in Writing and 620+ in CR. Took a 20 question math section, went 18-0-2, granted their were only 2 hards I still feel a 650+ is achievable. Good luck on that 2150. Be Proud of what you accomplished! :bz

@sat2014 Thank you very much. My math score used to be like your CR score, stuck in the upper 500s/lower 600s. I was finally able to break the 700 barrier on the Math section a mere 3 months ago, and now I’m confident that I got a 700-760 on this math section. It can be done!

4 days left. I really hope I got a 10 on my essay because it makes a huge difference for the writing score. (about 30 points)

@sat2014 I am hoping the same thing…my first SAT I got an 8 on my essay and a 640 on my writing overall…hopefully I can improve on my score a lot and a 10-12 essay score helps hugely.

@Kreig01 my first 2 writing scores sucked. 530(8) and 540(9) hoping for 650+ and 10 essay. Prepping for a 2000 on the october SAT. gotta get 700+ in writing and 660+ in Math to have a chance

That moment when you realize that there’s only 3 questions on the entire test you know you missed, and you’re just accounting silly errors/possible miss-bubbles into your score projection… I’m just trying not to be overly optimistic so that I’ll be pleasantly surprised (hopefully) :-S

i hate making those if thats the case, I won’t even get 1800… crossing my fingers for that 650+ in writing

It is kind of annoying to think about how they probably have my score ready now but I still have to wait 4 days to view it :/

Makes sense though…

you can call them to get it, but it costs $11 or something close to that amount :/

I think you can only call after they are available online. I’m pretty sure you can’t get them early. The phone score service is for those who don’t have online access to view the scores

anyone going to stay up for their scores? I won’t because after waiting all that time to see them, I’ll be utterly disappointed already have the princeton review 11 SAT practice tests, order Dr. Steve Werner Math problem books(2 of them) and ordered 3 books Barrons SAT for math CR and writing. got 3 months to study and get my 2000

Im staying up until 2 AM PST. Don’t our ACT scores come out tonight at 12 AM CST?

@sat2014 dude get a reliable SAT tutor… if you have all those prep materials AND 3 months along with a SAT veteran to help you out, you should be able to go above and beyond a 2000.

@Jarjarbinks23 what more can they teach me? I already had an ok tutor. the rest is by yourself. My first SAT I did little work BY myself and the same goes for my 2nd one. The third one I put in 3 weeks of work and I expect an 1800 from a 1630. Now I will put 2+ months of practice, reviewing concepts and strategies, and making sure they happen on the actual test. I regret not trying harder in high school. stuck with a weak 3.3 GPA. Thanks for the encouragement. What SAT was this for you and if it wasn’t your first, what were your previous scores and what did you do to get them?

@LOLBeast1 I think our ACT scores come out a little later tomorrow, around 5-8 AM or so. I’m not totally sure though.

@sat2014 yoooo you should choose a few books/a section or two and focus on them. don’t spread yourself too thin and you can definitely get that score. especially with the increase you’re looking for, i agree with @Jarjarbinks23, a tutor could probably help in your case. it’s really the last 100-200 points that attributes to self-study.

also idk if someone has already told you this, but if it’s your 4th time maybe you should try the ACT? i’ve known people who’ve gotten like 33 on their act and 1800s on their SAT. it could really make a difference. and a 3.3 GPA isn’t too bad, honestly! i’ve known a bunch of people who’ve gotten into some top tier schools with that.

and i have work that day so i definitely will not be staying up till 2am haha~~

@presque you know people w/ 3.3 GPAs who’ve gotten into top tier schools? did they have outstanding extracurriculars?

I saw the ACT format and I really don’t like it especially the science section. I’ll continue to work hard to get that 2000. Thanks for the support.

Hey are most people certain that the experimental section for reading was the one that refers to evidence of the question above it?

@futureDoc2023 I dont think any of us are fully certain … there’s no surefire way to determine whether a section is experimental or not.

Like for the math section, a lot of people thought the fish section was an experimental (probably due to the raised difficulty) when it probably wasn’t.
