***June 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

Guys, i was wondering if the test didn’t feel to difficult for me overall does that mean I could get a good score. Let’s say 1800 or higher, or is that good feeling a bad thing. Usually on school exams when I have a good feeling I usually get a good result, but I was wondering if any of you guys who took it in the past had a bad result after you took the SAT, and thought you actually did good on that particular section or overall the whole test.

@Christen876 ““That morning I heard the hum, the respiration, of the super-organism. It’s a sound I believe that only the new immigrant hears, but not for long.””

The answer is directly in the passage, I believe.

What did you guys feel was your best section? From best to worst, I think it will go W>M>CR

@Christen876‌ byproduct for sure.
@Mnathl15‌ i get where you’re coming from, but awe makes much more sense – if you read the passage and look at it from afar you’ll see that he’s just kind of overwhelmed by the awesomeness of it all. awe doesn’t necessarily mean amazed or have a positive connotation (that’s only in this day and age where the word awesome is used as slang, whereas it used to be a word meant to describe something that is completely overwhelming and indescribable).

@Christen876 In all honesty, I’m pretty sure the “new customs” answer choice and the “byproduct of immigrant” answer choice were on different questions. Alas, for the question in question (haha), “byproduct…” was correct

@mizejonathan17 watch out, we got a badass over here

I think that was the only passage and the short passages were the only ones I did better on than the two other long passages combined.

Wish you could post pictures here… :))
@Jarjarbinks23

Based on the gdoc, think I got:
M : 800
W : 750
CR :800

My first SAT in 8th grade was:
M : 800
W : 600
CR : 540

Lol I’m happy that I significantly improved in a year.
Btw, for writing, I just memorized a prep book and for reading, I bought 6 SAT practice test books and did all the CR sections (and some writing).

Remember the math question about the girls heights? Pattie Cassie Elanor… it was number 3 on one of the math sections. I got it wrong :expressionless: boy do i feel like a moron. that’s what happens when you rush…

Patti is an ugly name

Dayum son! You da man @Personasa

If any of you want a fun (and hard) probability problem that I made so that you don’t have to wait for your scores doing nothing, here’s one:

There are 6 coins and a die. If you throw all of them simultaneously, what’s the probability that the number of heads is equal to the number on the die?

@Mnathl15‌ that’s why I changed my answer. he was like wow this place is really different compared to his background. its arguable if he was more amazed or lost. 50/50

1/6?? @Personasa‌

.26%? @Personasa

@Personasa‌ :wink:

@Personasa is that an AMC problem? :-/ Probability is a bigger achilles heel than science

Do the scores come out exactly in two hours or is it later in the day?

It comes out tomorrow around 5AM @APmaster007‌
