June 2016 Living Environment Regents

The test will be Wednesday morning. Please share your thoughts about the exam questions here. I will try to post the answers to the MC’s within a couple hours of taking the exam.

If you can / have the time to do so, try to store the answers to the MC’s in your scientific calculator so we can compare our answers (this is allowed since the state exams are posted online within a month or so of administration and the tests are not in a “Restricted Form”). For TI-30X, you can store the answers by hitting STAT, 1-VAR, and then DATA.

GOOD LUCK!

@emill I just did.

R u sure those r the answers

I’m just saying that is what I got. I pretty sure it’s almost entirely accurate.

O so ur not a teacher?

Nope

What did everyone say the answer was for the question about pollution in pennslyvania with the diagram and the arrows?

I put the Answer with Natural Resources because it made the most sense. U?

do u have ur mc answers ? math girl

and kim how did u put answers up it was in middle of the test???

@emill what did u put for the winds moving to Pennsylvania?

I also said natural resources but a lot of other people I know said the states could work together. Some people thought natural resources isn’t correct bc technically fossil fuels are a natural resource

but states already cooperate which is why i put natural resources

what do u think u got? I think i got above a 95

Hey guys , i think i did pretty good! I was just wondering what was the answer to the question about the human skin cell DNA? I dont remember the exact question but it asked what percentage of the bases were C, and i was a bit confused on that and it’s been bugging me all day. Since there 12% of the base A , i think i put 88 but im so unsure ): , thanks for the help!!

It had to be 38 percent of base C, and the question after that was yes. It was 38 Percent because if A is 12%, then T must be 12% since they both pair up, adding to 24%. Then this means that C and G both add up to 76 Percent, and divide that by 2, you get 38% for C, 38% for G, 12% for A, and 12% for T. Hope this helps, also can you state any other questions that were difficult so we can verify what we got right or wrong? Thanks.

Okay so atleast the second part i got right :slight_smile: , and now i understand , thanks so much!! & i was also kinda confused on that question about Species 1 and 2 - it referred to a graph, and you had to state which species had more strength i believe.
