Guys for the question about investing 100 and the compounding monthly was it the one with 1.000025 in a fraction or without the fraction?
I thought it was w/o the fraction but everyone is saying she added $100 every month while compounding so it was a series thing instead of just compounded interest formula.
Was the spinner question not unfair or unfair?

I put the one without the fraction too, I tried plugging in numbers to see the amounts and I thought the one without the fraction made sense

I don’t even think 0 was a solution you only got 7/2 and 2 if I’m not mistaken and 2-2 in the denominator of the first fraction made it undefined
@spf924 0 would be an extraneous root…except when you solved the equation it’s not a root you got. The roots were x=7/2 and x=2, with x=2 being extraneous
I realized I messed up… I was thinking of undefined, I was going by the denominator, which had x and x-2
