0 is not extraneous.
Consider solving the following equation for x:
2/(x-3)=2
Even though it is undefined for x=3, that is not a possible solution so it is not extraneous. x=4 is a valid solution.

what was the multiple choice answer for 24x^2-30xi
was the answer for one of the mc ±7 rad 2 / 2
and what did you guys get for the last multiple choice question
It was the± 7irad2 over 2 and it was the answer with the 24x^2 (negative or positive I don’t recall)
Last multiple choice was the 1.0025 choice with the fraction
how about the second multiple choice with the log
(Ln(6)/ln(2))+3. Choice #2 I believe
wait for the factoring mc question did u guys put -24x -i or the other choice
Guys I have the answer key, one of my teachers took the test, who wants it, email me at @jribot12@outlook.com
@kimclan1 hopefully they don’t take off points for stupid small errors that end destroying the entirety of the arithmetic Bc I messed up multiple with the formulas.
If it was a 2 point question, you’d probably lose 1. If it’s a 4 or 6 point question, you’d probably lose only 1-2. They give a lot of partial credit
i emailed you
what was the answer for the ac question
if your answer is wrong for like a 4 point or 6 point question but you showed relevant work how many points would they take off?
It’s -1 for each mistake.
Appreciated @Ribot123! I think I got a 100
@kimclan1 when u email me for the answer key, please let me know it’s you, you seem very knowledgeable and I want to talk lol don’t think of this in a creepy way.
I believe that factoring completely question made you pick -1 as a gcf for the second part I remember getting (x^2-4) not (x^2+4) then I simplified. I remember first putting 1 as gcf but it gave 4x+1 instead of 4x-1. Also, was I the only one whose calc was not giving the right answer for the half life q? I kept getting negatives or 2.4 after multiplying by 5. I plugged and checked and I knew it was 10.3 soemthing and just put random decimals to make it ten thousandth (still wrong), it was so irritating because I knew all the steps but it wouldn’t work out.
i emailed you as well
