June 2017 Algebra 2 Regents

I “finished” early but I had to go back and do the five multiple choices I couldnt figure out. Too bad I got 3 out of those 5 wrong

Either 97 or 98 based on what answer to 18 will be (probably 97 because they will not usually listen)

Yeah it shows that it is likely that it was not just due to natural variation in the sample and reflects that the population is likely less than 50%.

I really hoped that the answer key had been clearer but at least we know what the answers are. Im probably going to end up retaking this in August in hoped that Ill get above a 90, but the August regents is supposed to be harder than the June one.

Yeah, especially since (at least for my district) grades don’t come out until a week from monday

My school district hasnt counted the Regents into our final averages for the last two years because people in my district have been doing so poorly on common core math (so many people were just aiming to pass, not get mastery like I was)

Yeah we don’t have the math count as a final. I go to a small school so the teachers just grade them over the course of next week and release each person’s score on schooltool when they finish it (we don’t do an assembly line or anything and just have have a few grade each exam at a time).

I go to a big school (550 per grade) so the teachers set up basically an assembly line for grading the math and science regents. Our grades are released on our report cards a week from Monday. They count for 12% of our final grade

Sequoyabball@gmail.com please email to me

The regents typically count for 16% of our grade while the midterm counts for 5% (which is pretty pointless if you ask me.) A lot of kids in my grade this year didn’t really want to try on this regents because they believed that the school wasn’t going to count it like they’ve done for the last two years

We have each quarter and finals 18% and midterms 10%

I feel like this Regents was poorly worded this time around but it’s really hard to argue against the state because they’re set-in-stone with their policies

can you send it to me please ? lovelizzy1107@gmail.com

Eveyone relax, not only do regents weight mildly in your final grade, but algebra 2 is a hard test, and class. I’m getting an A but that’s Bc I put in a lot of work. I probably got a 90 on the regents though, due to stupid mistakes, wording by the state, etc. relax.

Also- the Alg 2 regents isn’t a graduation requirement

Regents aren’t that important for college.

@alexhuang76 True. I think colleges care more about SAT scores and overall GPA. Too bad my SAT score is bad :-<

Yeah that counts more. It’s okay if your SAT isn’t the best, I don’t have the best too but your GPA and other factors can make up for it.
