My chem teacher said we should be happy with a C+ (75-79) in chemistry because it’s hard. Then he left and we got a new teacher. I had a 102 average all year and got a 97-98 on the regents
Hi I have a question. For the Lewis dot of H2o i drew the picture perfectly expect I added charges to both H and O. Will I got a point taken off?
Please someone answer: I drew the Lewis dot of H2O perfectly but I added charges to all of the elements. Will I lose points?
@GeometryRegentsJune2017 They do not care about the charges. As long as you drew the structure correctly, you will get full credit.
Oh ok thank you!
For question 77, I put potential energy but it is supposed to be chemical energy. There is no way that I’d get the point for that right?
This was the question State the form of energy that is converted to electrical energy in the operating cell
I don’t think you’re gonna get credit for that…sorry
Thanks. It’s the only one I got wrong so I guess it’s okay
Do you think if I said for the short answer that it could conduct electricity because it has mobile electrons I would get the point
mobile electrons has to do with metallic bonding I think they were look for moving ions…but idk
I know but mobile electrons do produce a current
I got between a 97-95.
Same @NewByzantine
I got a 98
I made one stupid mistake
For the lewis dot diagram for H20 i made o have 8 electrons with a -2 charge and the 2 hydrogens each have no electrons with a + charge
I made it ionic
I should’ve made the hydrogens each share an electron with oxygen
I’m wondering if I still get credit
The only time it would be considered ionic is if there is a non metal and metal combining together. Like the second short answer question. K+ and Br- makes an ionic bonding.
