June 2017 Chemistry Regents

I don’t think you will get credit if you made it ionic. You had to show the hydrogen atoms sharing the electrons with oxygen. If you drew it like an ionic bond 2H+[O]-2 then you are saying that hydrogen transfers the electrons.

I got 100 on the regents

@EnderWigginEnzo You won’t get credit for making it ionic, despite water being a polar molecule, the charges are not meant to be expressed and as @Greetingcomrades said, making an ionic Lewis dot diagram means that you are saying that electrons are being transferred rather than shared through covalent bonds.

@jacobreis It depends if I get credit for 1 short answer question

I got a 100

Me too! Good job

I only messed up in two multiple choice questions. The short answers were easy. So I got a 97.

I probably got a 98. But my grades don’t come out until June 26th so I have a while to wait

Have a pic of the chem regents answers, but aren’t able to post the link for some reason

What am I missing? I can’t find the answers on Kent Chemistry, says they will be released June 30. Help?

Wow that’s awful they took them down

Ok that’s what I figured, do you have a pic?

Got a 97 on the Chemistry Regents!! Great Job @kimclan1 @Fibbonachi10

Weren’t you on the Bio Regents Group Chat last year @kimclan1

I remember a few names from the Geometry and Biology threads also

@bhargavaa Thanks!

Congrats to everyone who got what they wanted(or close to it)! If any of you know where to find the answers, can you send a link my way? Thanks!

@Fibbonachi10 @kimclan1 I took AP Chemistry this year and also had to take the Chemistry Regents. Those two courses DIDN’T line up at all!!! I had to self-study organic and nuclear chemistry. What AP’s are you taking??

AP chem is not offered in my school. Is it a lot different? Harder?

I’m gonna guess AP Chem is a lot harder. I only took AP European History this year, and I’m not planning on taking AP Chem at any point. So i don’t really know what its all abiut
