June 4 2011 SAT Reasoning Post-Test Discussion

@johunga - 2x+4 = 7, what is x+4 answer: 5.5

Yeah it was (0,-3) because (-4,-6) wasn’t even on the graph I think. I’m pretty sure the answer was 0,-3. What about the one with the circle with diameter ab and endpoints (4,4) (-4,4)?

I thought it was just the abs. value of the original graph they had for us? I’m so confused now )X

EDIT: Wait, was the question about which one DIDN’T work?

Ok thanks.

:( I can’t remember either. Anybody have that circle question with diameter ab and endpoints (4,4) and (4,-4)? Was the answer (0,4)? Or was this experimental?

The one with the endpoints (-4,4) and (4,4) had a radius of 8. I don’t remember the exact answer, but it was something like (12,4) or (4,12).

I think it was which one didn’t, but don’t quote me on that… Anyone remember?

What do u guys think minus 5-6 on math would be?

I think we’re alone here now X) Maybe tomorrow somebody will have the answer!

I think I actually improved on the critical reading this time around, but that long passage comparison was tough. I skipped so many questions on that. I don’t even remember any, either, and I had so many questions on them :|

I’m pretty sure it’s which one didn’t too…as well

for reading, did anybody put “cautious optimism” about the wind turbines? or am I completely wrong on this one

also, for a geese question in the writing section, was that NE?

For the absolute value one it was: which one is not on the absolute value function but is on the regular. (0,-3) was not the right answer because it wasnt even on the original function. The answer was (4,-6)

And for the circle it was point a was at (4,4) and point b was at (4,-4). The circle was centered on a and it was asking for a point on the circle which is (4, 12) since the diameter is 8.

R u sure? I thought 0,3 was the one that was on… Fffffffffff

So how much is minus 7 for math y’all think? Higher than 650 I hope :((

(0,3) was indeed on the original graph. However, 1) (0,3) would be on the absolute value graph as well as it is not negative. And 2) in the answer choices, there was only (0,-3) not (0,3) and (0,-3) is not on the original graph.

@nervousjim – Last summer, I missed 7 on the math section and got a 690. :)

EDIT: Scratch that… that was CR. I missed 6 on the math and got a 690. You’ll probably get at least a 650 though.

On that multiple integer question, is a number counted as a multiple of itself? Is 3 counted as a multiple of 3?

Sent from my SGH-T959 using CC App

does anyone remember any of the writing section questions?

Hopefully I missed less… Idk tho… I bah stupid math >:(

Yes 3 is a multiple of three. I put 25 but then I remembered 75 is also a multiple of 3 :frowning: :(

If I only got down 3 paragraphs, but wrote a relatively compelling essay, where should that put me? a 5? and with that plus probably a -6 on writing what would my writing be? 500?

also i think i aced the math or got 1 wrong

reading I prolly -4, what would that be?
