June 8th ACT Reading

Agh this is frustrating. I don’t know anything anymore :frowning: everytime i see a question that i get wrong i get so demoralized (it’s so depressing)

@marcusgarvey

I think the dizzying void is just to describe the chaos of the moving people below. Fear of heights is pretty irrelevant to the passage and an assumption you have to make. Remember that for reading, they are literally supposed to give you all the answers in the passage directly.

the vizzy void was the row of empty seats right? void means empty or not there (refering to the people) first row seats are expensive and the passage states it was during times of hardship

for the first passage; what was the question about the narrarator?

what was the answer to his reaction, how held onto his father or something?

i put the narrator was omniesent and knew the feeling of the characters because he did

the narrator was the one that said he knew everyone’s feelings

and what was the one about the quote about everyone loving opera or the one with to get joy out of opera?

what were the answers to the last questions?

i put to get the joy out of opera. he wanted everyone to enjoy opera. last question were pretty straight forward. i looked for the answers and found 8/10. others i had to answer from knowledged based on the other questions

The loving opera question was something about how he thinks everyone can find their own thing like he found opera

@snayyon

it wasn’t that he wanted everyone to enjoy opera. In the passage, he specifically stated that he understands that everybody doesn’t like opera, but something about how he thinks that everyone has their own special thing. don’t remember exact wording

i thought the narrator only knew about the father’s thoughts?

was the proportional “frequency”?

Also, what wasn’t used to detect sound?

What did the narrator think of her mother?

yea but he would like everyone to enjoy it.what was your answer?

What did you Guys get for the one asking about the reaction of the neighbors to the Indian lady planting the roses in the farm fields? It was either praise or like some negative word as answer choices. But the word in the passage was some weird c word I didn’t know

Has anyone found the source of any of the four reading passages?

proportional frequency? explain.

and she looked up to her mother im guessing

What did you put for that one question regarding the opera passage about a bracketed section about how he knew the opera wasn’t for everybody, but he hoped everybody got something from it? The answer choices were something along the lines of a) he wanted everyone to love operas, b) he didn’t think anybody else could appreciate operas as much as he did, c) he wanted everybody to experience the joy he felt for operas

Yes it was frequency. And the speakers weren’t used.
