June SAT II Latin Discussion

We get our scores tomorrow, guys! I’m still holding out for an 800, although I’ve missed like six, haha.

What did people get? I am trying to decide if I should retake. Latin is my best subject… although, I did take the test a year before most people at my school do (they usually recommend taking it at the end of Latin IV, I just finished LAtin III)… but by that time I will already know where I am going to college.

So, poll: what score would cause you to retake the test?

I got an 800!! WOOO

First time I took it, exactly one year ago, I got a 750, after Latin III. I didn’t really study and did not sign up for the test, but chose to take it after world in jun since I had already driven to a test center far away. I retook it because Latin is my absolute best subject, my passion, and possibly my college major (although I hope I can find a viable occupation). Good luck, eggrolls!

I didn’t try that hard or study at all, because I only needed a 650 for my language credit, but I’m still a little disappointed. Oh well, I guess it doesn’t matter… at all.

I took it at the end of my second year of Latin and got an 800. But honestly, I had to go beyond the classroom. Basically I just got the rea book and learned all the stuff that I didn’t know.

I wouldn’t recommend the average person to take it after latin two… most people wouldn’t be as motivated as you, caulfield

Interficio, you suggested NLE exams or NJCL tests for preparation for SAT Latin test. Do you suggest NLE Latin III-IV is enough or Latin V-VI is necessary for a high grade of SAT Latin?
