June SAT II Latin

What did you guys get? I am not going to share my score on here but it was shockingly low...Just wondering what the curve is.

Daughter got a 600- after Latin 4. She does really well on the NLE tests - so it must have been kind of hard.

I got a 700, but thats because this year I completed AP latin. The SAT2 latin is always really hard, last year I got a 580, and that year I had gotten a gold medal on the NLE. In my opinion, latin standardized tests are the hardest.

I walked out of the test feeling horrible, but I got 70 points higher than I predicted before I checked my score. Very happy right now but also feeling very lucky. The test is definitely not based on the way real Latin classes are taught though. I have never had to do anything more in depth than translate and syntax before; the test strucuture is somewhat ridiculous. Sorry to hear about your bad news.

oh I agree, its not really a good indication of whether you are good at latin or not. Like the derivative questions are bull, and some of the others are too.

I have gotten gold every single year on the NLE for the past three years, and I got a 660…like, reallyyyyyy??? I can’t imagine anyone getting an 800.

I got a 700. Was sure I was somewhere 750+

Damn.

I did really badly. Just completed Latin 4.

What’s the point at which you should re-take if applying to upper level schools?

got a 640, hoping for at least a 650, but that’s alright. might retake again, might not.

I got an 800. Then again, I’m kinda nerdy and I like to read Latin in my spare time, so that helps =P

610…considering i was getting 490 on practice tests i guess im satisfied…although i needed a 630 to test out of my foreign language requirement :frowning: :(

112358, I knew you did well ever since that original Latin thread in which everyone was posting the supposed correct answers. Congratulations, my friend.

I’m just happy that I placed into a couple higher-level courses with my score, haha. Good enough for me.

Thanks. Your score is quite respectable as well :)

How did you know how I did? I didn’t post in that thread very much…

It was more the way your posts explained the correct answers, especially the answers to the very difficult questions. I dunno - your in-depth responses suggested a mastery of grammar and translating.

Edit I confused you with another poster, haha. But you obviously had a mastery as well :)

112358, i also got 800! i’m sort of over the moon, and i also just love reading latin, but i’m just a word freak in general. Also, is your username the fibonacci sequence? I guess I can sort of answer my own question there haha

770 I’m content  (Too lazy to retake coz decembers pretty late)
Now for the AP Latin test score…

Which authors do you like most Undine? I’ve been reading a lot of Virgil lately… fun stuff…

And yeah, it’s fibonacci. Kind of a stupid username, but I wasn’t planning on hanging around for any length of time when I made this account. CC is too addicting xP

I got a 750. I thought I would have done better after two years of AP Latin but I think I went to slow in the beginning and then had to rush. But w/e, I heard 750+ is what colleges like to see or something so I got that…
