June SAT...Standby Testing?

I did horrible on my Critical Reading on my SAT even though I thought I did really well. The June SAT is the last SAT I can take in order to receive this big scholarship from my state and I REALLY REALLY need it. I got a 510 in CR, and 630 in M, and a 560 in W. All I need is a 1200, and I have came close with Superscore which comes out to a 1190 :(

I have from Monday to prepare for this. My graduation is tomorrow and my weekend is packed. The books I have is the Blue Book and some Powerscore books. I cannot find my Direct Hits books anymore. I really need all the help I can get. If anyone can give me advice on improving my score and how standby testing works, it will be appreciated greatly.

Make sure you print out the form for Standby. Bring everything, ID, Calculator, Pencils etc. All the stuff you would for a normal SAT. As soon as you get in there, let them know you are a standby tester.

I did mine and my scores aren’t back yet ugh -_- so if you have a deadline to reach, I would suggest you plan on waiting 4 weeks instead of the usual 3 for your stuff to come. As for improving, I used several websites and the “Idiots guide” series for everything I needed.

Just practice, relax and don’t cram especially if you aren’t one of those people who can store info in your brain for 48 hours solid then forget it and need to refresh again, it’ll just mess you up. Good luck!
