What was the relationship between the governors and the assemblies in the colonies and how did it develop?
And what was the reason FDR started the “2nd New Deal”?

These burning questions have been plaguing my history-loving soul forever and have no relation to the material covered on the test.

was the answer iroquios for number 3?and
was the colonial assembly one merchant elite?

and what was the Jury question?

@pch340 and bart2385, well, my USH book says “ranchers had been so successful that the supply of cattle was starting to exceed the demand; that meant that prices for beef for falling.” I’m not sure if that means that eastern demand necessarily decreased, but none of the reasons for the decline of open range ranching has anything to do with homesteaders… still not sure :(

oh yeah it was eisenhower amazon, not those other choices. Got it right!

I think this was as hard as the AP exam. Not joking ( well i did not study for this aside from yesterday so…)

I said he started the 2nd new deal due to the depression not being solved and to try to silence any critics. I reasoned that the 1937 depression for this answer but am honestly not sure

I believe that the powers of the assemblies were larger at first and then Britain restricted them (simultaneously giving more power to the governors) when we approached the Revolution. Does anyone else agree?

@jwwrox for the 2nd new deal one, I put that because the great depression wasn’t over
@l0issangel yes, it was iroquois. for the “jury question” if you’re talking about the admiralty courts, yes, it was because there was no jury

are you talking about judicial review? i put tj

I wouldn’t think weather would “eventually” be a restriction, it was always a restriction to the advance of Cowboys. The age of the cowboys was relatively short, and ended primarily with the advent of barbed wire in the late 1800s, otherwise I wouldn’t have picked weather because of the remote chance that the “weather” could be the Dust Bowl of the 30’s.

I thought the iroquios supported the french??? i put the apache

wiki says Iroquois…shi*

@wyjang94 judicial review was john marshall. He presided over marbury vs madison, which gave the judiciary judicial review

i jwwrox i think thats what i put… i need to see the question

everyone feel they didnt do so hot on the test?

@treehugga walt witman was against reason. I think there was also a question about him where romanticism was the answer, but I’m not sure what the question is

For Walt Whitman I put romanticism, but I can’t say that I’m a 100% on that.

wyjang94

John Marshall was in control of the supreme court, ruling in favor of the increased power of the government long after his fellow federalist politicians fell from power. He made the decision in Marbury v. Madison, which created judicial review.

are we looking at a big curve? Or is the curve set?

yayy, i said reason/romantic.

also, i said iroquios, bc they were in the right area.
