**June SAT U.S. History Post Test Discussion**

I put detente because massive retaliation was Eisenhower and the 50’s (I googled it just now).

Any one remember the answer to how indians died more (diseases or killings?); I put disease because disease spreads quicker than an army can.

The Cat beecher question was like an SAT vocab question. The second part of the answer made it easy to eliminate answer choices. Know that the quote talked about republican motherhood and the cult of domesticity (early 1800s), and the Beecher Stowe was the only one in the early 1800’s. Plus, none of the rest worked more on women’s rights. Women’s rights go hand in hand with abolitionism, and Stowe was an activist for both.

Whatttt @ the cult of domesticity…ughhh. Could have been Alice Paul…

its def disease

yeah what was the alice paul one? i don’t remember it at all…what were the choices?
and what was this ben franklin quote? i don’t remember it? or the catherine beecher one? wth? i don’t remember any of those. what was the question and answer choices for those?

and i got containment but no Massive retaliation.

What was the answer to the question that was like a product in the that used to be made in homes that was made in factories in the 1920s

Yeah i need a recap on the ben franklin one and the alice paul oine.

and for the person wondering what number 90 was, it was like jacob riis right? or something? that was like the last 90 questions?

@big dream, that was textiles.

and yeah im getting paranoid that i didn’t do all 90… what were the last couple questions?

bigdream, i believe the question asked about the 1820s, and the answer was textiles

Lol I put women’s clothing for the 1920s factory thing

When do we get our scores back?

Alice Paul was (E) for the question with Beecher Stowe as the answer (I think, it mentioned 1820s or 1840s with cult of domesticity in the Stowe choice) for the long quote about women’s moral-teaching-responsibility and citizen-upbringing-responsibility. Ben Franklin might have been another choice.

Arggh I put Alice Paul…

what were the other choices?

and for the person wondering what number 90 was, it was like jacob riis right? or something? that was like the last 90 questions? im gettin paranoid as well…

what number question was the alice paul one? and did it have a brief explanation of who they were after?

@bart 3 weeks

Just to clarify, it was Catherine Beecher who promoted the cult of domesticity, not Harriet Beecher Stowe. They were related, though.

i get my scores the last day of school :). And 90 was not on riss, i forgot what it was tbh.

whats this whole cult of domesticity stuff? We are talking about 1 question right? Was it that quote where it also had the answer about women could have a moral influence.

mmmm do you remember the last 10? lol the guy who said he only did 80 got me paranoid…

@gernericana thanks and sorry for that guys
