**June SAT U.S. History Post Test Discussion**

[SparkNotes: SAT Subject Test: U.S. History: Scoring and the SAT II U.S. History](<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides)

I’m inclined to believe that this chart is the most accurate. You need an 82 raw score minimum to stay in 800 territory.

ಠ_ಠ I don’t know, I’m hoping for it to be more generous.

i thought is was -7 or 8?

Is the raw score just like missing X amount of questions? The scaled score is when you include the -1/4 penalty, right? If that’s right -8 to get an 800 sounds grrreaaattt.

@Coldflame and Bart
The question regarding the zimmerman telegram as being the cause of U.S. intervention was one of those “The following is true about WWI…”. The answer was that WWI disillusioned people.

ALSO, this has been wrong on the consolidated list and I want to point this out–the Lost Generation was a group of American writers in the 1920s, and it does not refer to the expatriated artists in paris during WWI.

[Lost Generation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Lost Generation - Wikipedia) for more information.

^Yeah, the answer choice to the lost generation was that it was American authors who went to Europe, right?

No, the raw score for Sparknotes includes the -1/4 point for each incorrect answer.

No, i think the answer was something like “the american authors of the 1920s” or something. Its definitely not the ones who went to europe.

Heres another question i remember:
“who first integrated the military”
the answer:
“Truman during the Korean war”

Wait, floobert, the question was… “what DID NOT HAPPEN during WW2” which was segregation of military… The question we were talking about is “WHAT CAUSED THE DECLARATION OF WW1” which was not the thing about forestalling an invasion by mexico…

So how many questions out of 90 do we need to get right to get a 800? 82?

The cause of WW1 was the Zimmerman telegram?

@Coldflame
I know what question your talking about. The question did not ask about what started WWI,
but it asked “which of the following is true about WWI”
the answer was that “WWI disillusioned the American people who did not want to get involved in international politics afterward” (or something like that)

@Practical; 84/90 for a raw score of 82.

Really? That makes sense. I remember having some answer like that!

^Yeah, I remember that as an answer. What were the choices for the Lost Generation? I was sure it was authors who went to Europe or somthing like that. It was something about authors and there was only one choice that included authors?

@practical, i think i put something that had to do with the zimmerman telegram too.

and yeah, wwi disillusioned peeps

Floobert, what are your thoughts on the spain vs portugal thing… Do you remember if the question included “new world” or “americas” or was it more general like how I remember it… “first nation to systematically voyage the seas” or something like that…

Okay, so in order to get an 800 you need to miss 6 questions? Wow, that’s pretty tough.

ERrrrrrrrrrrrr now that i think about it Pratical… im not sure. i recall seeing a whole bunch of answers about people who werent authors soooo…
i still think that “authors who moved to europe” isn’t the answer, but if there was nothing else about authors, then it has to be that.

wait floobert, the question which had “zimmerman telegraph” was one the question “which is true about ww1” and that WASN’T THE ANSWER right?

@bart and practical
I dont think there was ever a question about the start of WWI, but there was an answer choice about it.

@coldflame
i put spain… but im going to have to stay out of the debate. i have no clue what the question was. if there was anything about the new world/america, then its spain. if its just about exploring in general, then is portugal. but my opinion is that it wouldnt really be a us history exam if it had a question like that, but thats just my opinion. collegeboard is crazy, after all
