Yeah, Zimmerman telegraph was an answer choice, but it wasn’t the answer right?

The lost generation was a group of American writers during the 1920’s, according to wikipedia. Other choices included civil war veterans, (which is what i put lol), students in the 1960’s who did drugs, and i cant remember the rest.

@coldflame
correct. it was a question about wwI in general, and one of the answer choice was that the US intervene to forestall mexican invasion (which isnt true cause the mexicans never got the telegram to begin with). the correct answer was disillusionment.

OK, so colonial assembly is something with the governor, but not the “money bills” choice?

i think it was money bills. not sure tho. that was the hardest question for me

No, Bart, there was nothing that directly referenced the Zimmerman telegraph. The one about forestalling mexico was the one about the Zimmerman telegraph that floobert speaks of. The actual answer was disillusionment.

For colonial assemblies I put:

Intially weak, got stronger when they got more power over the purse…

And you would be correct, ColdFlame.

That wasn’t a choice. Choices which began with “initially weak” were mony bills andeq bring able to appoint the governor. You probably mean money bills, which most people think is right. So you’re probably still right.

Hey, I know its off topic, but where did you do practice tests online besides Sparknotes?

Any more input on the portugal vs spain one? What was the wording of the question, its all there… :o

I agree with desafinado. There wasnt an answer choice about being initially weaker AND gaining power thru the purse. it was only initially overshadowed by the governor and gain more power later, OR, they gained power through money bills

I distinctly remember one being about “Initially weak, gaining power through controlling money at the expense of the governor”… Don’t remember it word for word, but is this what you guys are talking about? This was letter C.

Yeah I think it was C.

I think a lot of people have the Missouri Compromise answer wrong.

From Wikipedia:
The Missouri Compromise was an agreement passed in 1820 between the pro-slavery and anti-slavery factions in the United States Congress, involving primarily the regulation of slavery in the western territories. It prohibited slavery in the former Louisiana Territory north of the parallel 36°30’ north except within the boundaries of the proposed state of Missouri. Prior to the agreement, the House of Representatives had refused to accept this compromise and a conference committee was appointed.

“Banned slavery in the Louisiana territories” was one of the answer choices. On the AP United States History Audit Exam (2008), there was a similar question with that as the answer. Can anyone confirm?

The correct answer was “admitted Missouri as a slave state.”

Yeah so Missouri as a slave state would be most accurate. It banned slavery in Louisiana territory north of 36, 30 parallel, not the territory altogether. Missouri was admitted as slave state while Main was admitted as free. So Missorui as slave has to be correct.

Yeah, the governor one was C.

Yea when I saw the Missouri one I was like yesss, cause I made sure to review the Missouri Compromise

Also, Open Door Policy one was about trade with China right?? (glad to see that one too!)

Yep, trade with china is right.
