**June SAT U.S. History Post Test Discussion**

what do you guys think the curve is … I got 6 wrong so far so do you think that is 800??

What is the general raw score that is needed to get an 800… I know there will always be a difference in the curve, but for the most part, what is the consensus?

Why are we talking about the test questions when the rules on here and the SAT waiver we signed before taking the test explicitly state not to? I took the US History. It was farely easy. Just wait till you get the test results back so you don’t have to worry about it now.

I looked up a few on Google that I didn’t know not really to see if I got it right and to freak out over it, but for knowledge’s sake, in case I would need it in the future.

7 or less wrong will generally give you an 800. (raw score of 81)

I read in a review book by Larry Krieger that the curve has been much less in recent years (much less than the SparkNotes chart), but we will see.

In the portugal spain question, does anyone remember the actual question. It just said in general systematic exploration right?

it’s portugal

Someone said this was a question on the test:

All of the following contributed to the sectional crisis that culminated in the civil war EXCEPT
A. Gadsen purchase
B. Election of Lincoln in 1860
C. Dred Scott decision
D. Comp. of 1850
E. Kansas Nebraska

THIS WASN’T A QUESTION, right?

i don’t think so …

He said that was on the June Sunday test not the Saturday one.

Sorry if this has already been said, but what was the answer to the LBJ great society question?

^It did all of the following BUT set up social security. I think.

I still think the Catharine Beecher question was women’s education b/c she was a staunch advocate of women’s education, but both this and the moral influence on men seem to fit, so I could be wrong.

And the UN Resolutions in Korea did allow for a war, whereas the GUlf of Tonkin was not actually a declaration of war, but that question is also somewhat ambiguous, since it said “conduct a war” and not “declare”.

The LBJ questions was EXCEPT social security.

It is Spain, not Portugal.

The Kennedy/Nixon/McCarthy was anticommunist

Basically all of the correct answers were on genericana’s list except a couple of debatable ones, which may still be right.

swebber; was that whole cult of domesticity thing included with the other question from that quote which had the answer for woman to improve the morals of others.

And what was the black voting chart exactly? I think i remember but not exactly, and what was the riis question?

can someone answer these plz?

The Riis question was “who most sympathized with poverty” or something similar. Something that was supposed to trigger your memory about Riis’s book, How the Other Side Lives.

i know i had riis for an answer during the test but i dont recall it being the last one. I do remember 89 though being jfk response during the missile crisis

it hast to be portugal because it was only asking for the first contry that led the systematic voyages oversees and it never specified to Americas. Thus, it has to be portugal

I think it did specify americas

will we ever find out?

i mean they don’t specify questions when you get ur results right?

i agree with whoever said Spain because anything other than voyages to the Americas is irrelevant and is highly unlikely to appear on this test.
