So, I’m currently thinking about the scheduling for next year.

I’m thinking 5 AP’s:

AP Psych
AP US History
AP English Lang
AP Enviro. Sci.
AP Calc AB

I’m also planning to take no other classes in school (which leaves me 2 extra spaces in which I can study, do whatever). I’m also planning to do dual enrollment in my community college (1 or 2 classes) so I can still get the credits I desire.

Questions:

I’m thinking of a 6th AP: Spanish. I’m a native so the test will be super easy, so should I take the course? Self-study?

How is dual enrollment like? Do colleges like to see this? My best friend is graduating and we’re heading for the same major (Pre-Med), so I’m hoping to have some classes with him, to relieve some stress.

The only AP that barely (not even) touches my major (Pre-Med) is Enviro Sci. Should I worry? Should my college classes revolve around this type of course to please anything needed? My dream school is Johns Hopkins, by the way.

How are AP tests/classes in each subject? Which ones are easiest/hardest?

Answer anything you think you can, please. I’d appreciate it SOO much! Thank you!

you know what you can and can not handle.
you know your interests.

stop asking this, im pretty sure you know what classes you should take.

ap tests all have their tricks, none of them are 'cake' you need to put some effort into all of them.

im just over seeing this thread over and over. you know that your junior year courseload should be your heaviest courseload. you know that you should be taking the most rigorous classes offered by your school, so just do it. dont waste time by asking CC'ers.

i dont mean to be a *****, i have nothing against you and it is good that you care but deep down im sure you know what you have to do.... lets be serious you have a CC account, you obviously care and you clearly have your head on straight.

except for calc and apush, ur in fairly easy ap's...not meaning to undermine u or anything. but i know freshmen at my school who have gotten 5's easily on apes and ap psych. so i hope you're not under the illusion that this is a "rigorous" schedule, it's not really. you're ap science is somewhat of a joke, and ap psych barely qualifies as ap in most cases.

plus english is something you can't study for really anyway, you either are good at it or you aren't. and apush is just a lot of busy work, but if you have two extra periods, it won't be difficult.

calc is hard to learn for some ppl, but if you enjoy math, you'll catch on fast.

you probably don't have to do anything for ap spanish...just take the test. or take the class if you want, but i doubt it will count for much if you're a native...i dunno if it might help ur class rank at ur school though.

you might try looking into a harder ap science class to challenge yourself a bit more. especially ap bio if u want to go into premed. and take an extra ap class in your free periods.

oh yeah, and you probably shouldn't have ur heart set on your friend "relieving" stress. junior year is when everyone, even the nerdiest of nerds, get really mean and all the drama ensues. it sucks to have academically competitive friends if you're academically motivated...ppl get jealous, bitter, etc. before, friends who shared my interests would inspire me to work harder, now they try and slash me down so they can get to the top, or just make me look bad cuz they know they'll never beat me. it's quite brutal, lol. so just be careful.

For the first post, my situation is a little different, with dual enrollment and all.

So you think this is not rigorous? Thank you for the comment, I'll see about self-studying one or two AP's. I'm #1 in my class currently, so I have some leeway I guess you could say.

While we are on the subject. Junior year I'm taking:
1.AP Computer Science AB(I already took A so this should be easy right?)
2.AP Human Geo(Heard this is easy?)
3.AP Calc AB
4.AP US History(This should be cake compared to World, my teacher was insane)
5.AP Bio
6.AP Stat
7.AP Lang and Comp

Anyone know if this is kinda overkill and I should tune down or something? I chose as many easy AP classes as possible

hass, Bio is a deadly combo with US and L&C.
good luck =/
I had to outline 50 pages a week for US and write 4 papers a week for L&C and i hear bio is around the same amount of work if not more...
