Junior in highschool: chances of getting in?

I'm currently a junior in high school and will be applying to colleges next year. I plan on touring Maryland over spring break and I'm looking to get some opinions on what my chances are of getting into the school.

I take all regular classes this year, except I am in AP English Language. By the time I graduate I will have taken all of the required classes. I also plan on possibly adding one more AP class to my schedule next year, either AP Bio or AP Psych, while still taking Physics. My current GPA is somewhere between 93-94 unweighted, I'm not sure what it would be weighted. For each of my classes my average lies anywhere between 90-97. From freshman to senior year my electives will have been Photography 1&2, Creative Writing, Studio & Art, Photography 3&4, Mythology, 1945-Present History, and Leadership. I have been in Key Club and SADD club. I am also in Spanish Honor's Society. I have been on my schools Tennis and Badminton team since freshman year and will continue on into senior year.

I have not taken my SAT or ACT yet but my goal for the SAT is to get anywhere between a 1950 and 2100. For the ACT I'm thinking either a 26-27 but don't know much about the ACT to have a realistic goal for myself.

Maryland does not consider the writing portion of the SAT when evaluating your application.

The middle 50% of SAT scores for this years accepted applicants was 1260-1410.

The ACT you listed is a bit low. The middle 50% this year was 28-32.

^Hey, can you post a link for information on this year’s accepted applicants?

[Office of Undergraduate Admissions · University of Maryland Freshman Profile](http://www.admissions.umd.edu/counselor/FreshmanProfile.php)

I will bump my old thread about it too. 1000 fewer acceptances. Acceptance rate dropped from like 46.5% to 41.5% if I remember correctly.

Seems to be these numbers improve every year.
