Junior looking for engineering school chances

<p>Currently Junior in Orange county CA, public school. Chances me for Engineering schools for 2010. I heard UC system will get lot tougher to get in due to budget</p>

<p>Grades not good in Freshman and sophomore year. Doing well in Junior year
Junior year GPA weighted 4.33</p>

<p>High school GPA summary</p>

<p>9-11 grade GPA --- 3.5 weighted 3.3 Unweighted
10-11 UC GPA --- 3.8 weighted 3.56 unweighted</p>

<p>Strong in Math and science classes at school,</p>

<p>AP CS, Honors pre calc, AP statistics in junior year
signed up for AP Calc, AP Physics in senior year</p>

<p>SAT 2010 -- Math 760, 630 Reading, 620 writing
ACT composite -- 32</p>

<p>EC -- Eagle scout ( 8 years of scouting, may be 9)
-- selected for HS comp science competition team
-- Principals honor role - junior year
-- Karate for more then 10 years -- working on Black Belt
-- won a couple of awards in elementary and middle schools for Science invention
contest - may not mean anything for college
-- good with computers -- many programming languages, created \ worked on a
few web sites, one for Non profit ( Kids who care fundation) .
--- About 300 voluntary hours -- library, Food for homeless, service project in scouts
-- tried other clubs in school for a few semesters - did not like any -- preferred to to
stick with scouts, computers and Karate</p>

<p>If none of these schools are reach can you suggest some safe schools where I can get some scholarship too. I assumed I am not good enough for UCSD, UCLA, UC Berkely.</p>
