Junior or senior level CCC transfer, too many units?

Alright so I just got my acceptance rescinded from UCR and I am trying to apply to UC Santa Cruz and Merced for the winter term. I have roughly 100 units from community college and i have 2 semester units from a private university. Does this put me in senior standing and ineligible for admission to these schools? Or is it a small enough amount of units that if I write a note in my application that they might be willing to overlook it?
Thanks for you responses!

Why was your acceptance rescinded?

Were the two semester units lower or upper division?

According to http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/files/uc-transfer-maximum-limitation-policy-chart.pdf the lower-division units (no matter where taken except at a UC) are capped at 70 semester units. If the private units are upper division they would be added, but that only brings you up to 72. A high-unit junior is 80 units according to that page. So you are fine in regards to units.

I believer they were lower division. I applied for physics and got in but I needed to complete 3 series. I was taking gen chem 2 which would have been the last series I needed but I ended up dropping it. I did not realize at the time that it was that important. So they rescinded my acceptance.

I talked to the Unversity of California admissions help number and they told me that I qualified as a junior as along as the majority of my units came from a community college. So thanks everyone for the help I appreciate it!

Good luck!
