Hello!
Ok so this year I decided to take 5 AP classes. Which is not advised usually, but I wanted to look competitive to colleges. You see, in my high school everyone is Asian and typically really hard working. I feel like crap because everyone around me is very very smart and I have two B+'s in APUSH and Precalc Honors. I’m not sure how it happened, but it did. I won’t try to make excuses because ultimately I understand that it’s my fault. Wow this is getting long. Anyway what I wanted to ask all of you was wether I blew my chances at UVA or William and Mary. Especially because of how competitive the kids at my school are. I will end up this year with a GPA of 4.28 and I’m a low income female minority (which I heard was a hook). Oh and I live in Virginia. I know it’s hard to chance be solely based on grades but all I want to know is whether two B+'s and a couple of A-'s will ruin my chances at those schools.
Junior year course load:
-APStat A
-APUSH B+
-AP LANG A-
-AP CHEM A-
-Precalc honors B+
-French 4 A
-AP Psychology A
No you have not ruined your chances
you have a 4.28 though… you dont even need to worry
