Hey CC, I was just wondering if I could get some feedback on my junior schedule. I hope to go to college for business and math (preferably financial engineering/quant analysis or something similar).
Junior Year:
APUSH 2
Business Administration and Management
AP Calc BC
AP Lang
AP Physics 1
Honors French 4
AP Art History (school requires us to take an art, heavily considering changing this to photography though)
Linear Algebra (Community College, if I have the time which I doubt I will)
With this, my senior year schedule would look something like this:
AP Psych
AP Economics
AP Lang (or whatever the AP english is called senior year)
AP Physics C
AP French
Entrepreneurship
Honors Intro to Computer Science
Multivariable Calc (CC)
Differential Equations (CC)
Your schedule is very ambitious without Linear Algebra junior year, but very well-balanced.
Remember that colleges don’t like it if you “stockpile” APs. Select them carefully but after 8 (total) their value for admission purpose diminishes.
AP Psych => cut out, you don’t need it and it looks like stockpiling AP’s. Take AP Art History or Photography depending on what you took last year.
AP Economics
AP Lang (or whatever the AP english is called senior year) => AP Lit. If you can take Freshman English at a local CC where you’d take Linear Algebra, do so, unless you love reading. AP Lit if great if you love reading but if not, it’s very time-consuming and you’re better-served with a post AP lang college class.
AP Physics C
AP French
Entrepreneurship
Honors Intro to Computer Science
Multivariable Calc (CC)
Differential Equations (CC)==> replace these two with Linear Algebra
Keep in mind that senior year you’ll have the equivalent of a writing-intensive class ie., college apps.
