Junior Year Schedule for Ivy League Hopeful??

Hi,

I am a rising junior in high school, and I plan on applying for competitive colleges come senior year (Yale, Stanford, Princeton, Georgetown, etc.). I am worried that my schedule for junior year isn’t rigorous enough to be competitive for these colleges. I’ve listed stats/schedules below- is my junior year schedule competitive for these top colleges?

I have a 4.18 GPA (weighted; 4.0 unweighted) without calculating this year’s classes. All A’s this year so my GPA will only go up!

Sophomore Year Classes (for background information):
Pre-AP Chemistry
Pre-AP Biology
Dual Enrolled (with local community college) Pre-Calculus
Pre-AP English
AP World History
Entrepreneurship
French III
Dual Enrolled Media Production

PLANNNED Junior Year Schedule:
AP Chemistry
AP AB Calculus
AP US History
AP English Language and Composition
AP Microeconomics (online)
AP Macroeconomics (online
Sports and Entertainment Marketing
Web Design (online)
Video/Media Production
(I am taking AP Psychology this summer, but that class will count towards my junior year GPA)

Is my junior year schedule rigorous enough for an ivy league school? I am only taking six AP classes in order to take a marketing class and a media production class, both of which I am passionate about. How does this look to the ivies? I could be taking more AP sciences and maths in lieu of these two “easier” classes. Thoughts?? Is this schedule competitive enough for an ivy?

Thanks!

Speaking as a parent, that looks pretty brutal to me, honestly. It’s probably fine so long as you can keep up excellent grades and keep good relationships with the teachers. How is it relative to the rest of the kids at your school?

It’s great that you’re taking on challenges outside of the classroom, and it’s also good that you’re doing extra work within your specialty.

Hopefully you have at least a little room for friends, family and fun in there! Good luck.
