Junior Year Schedule

Hello, all. I'm trying to decide on my junior year schedule once and for all. There's one thing that I'm struggling with, which I'll explain after I outline my schedule.

AP Chemistry or AP Environmental Science
Jazz Ensemble
AP English Language and Composition
Honors Pre-Calculus
AP Psychology
Honors Spanish IV
AP US History

I can't decide what science to take, so I'm going to lay out the options...

Option 1: Take AP Environmental Science during the school year and take AP Chemistry online during this summer or next summer.

Option 2: Take both AP Environmental Science and AP Chemistry during the school year by dropping Jazz Ensemble from my schedule.

Option 3: Take AP Chemistry during the school year and never take AP Environmental Science.

Which option do you think that I should choose? Thank you for your response!

Skip the APES. Its known as an “easy” AP and I would think colleges would prefer to see the jazz band because (I assume) its something you’re truly interested in rather than something to simply be another AP. 4 AP classes and 2 Honors should be fine. Hopefully you’ll be able to clear your mind and enjoy the music during that class too. Remember, they are looking for well- rounded kids and want to see “who you are” from the applications- not just that you take challenging classes. Jazz band is something somewhat unique. Don’t look at it as expendable just because its not another AP class.
