Junior year schedule

Any sort of input on my schedule, regarding the type(s) of school(s) I could potentially be admitted to. I realize that I do not have an ACT or SAT score listed, nor a GPA or rank. I am currently just trying to build a schedule.

AP Lang
AP US History
Honors Chemistry
Honors Algebra II
French II
Public Speaking/Forensics
Theology(irrelevant)

My extracurriculars include: volunteer work, XC and track, SADD, and I am in the NSDA

I would build your schedule according to what you want to take next year and what you are interested in. For me, junior year was my first opportunity to really customize my schedule so do what you can to take classes you’ll like. I took chem soph. year then AP chem junior year, so if you are in honors chem does that mean you want to take AP chem next year or are you taking it to fulfill a science requirement? If so, take the science that genuinely interests you, whether it’s chem or something else. APUSH is a breeze, but definitely compulsory to get into good schools, as is AP language I believe, which I will take this year as it is typically a 12th grade class at my school - which leads me to another point: is this schedule as difficult or more difficult than most of your peers? That is what really matters. Unis will understand if your high school restricts the difficulty of your underclassman schedule, but that means they will expect you to take advantage of every opportunity offered in your junior and senior years. For example: Honors Algebra 2. My school does not offer honors classes, but juniors typically take precalc. Does that mean you are a year behind in math, or is that a typical route for your class? Will you take precalc next year or AP stats and/or trig? I also took public speaking and french 2 last year and I don’t think it drags down my transcript at all. Theology is interesting, private school requirement or elective? I don’t think it will hurt you at all, just atypical which can be advantageous. 2 aps out of 7 classes seems pretty good to me. What really matters is will you get A’s in all of these courses and continue to challenge yourself next year and keep up with your ECs!
