Technically since 4th grade I've been a year ahead of GA curriculum, and I skipped Calc AB so that I can enroll in a Georgia Tech administered Calc 2-3 course as a senior

I did algebra 1 in 8th grade and then skipped pre-calc. So 2 years ahead.

8th grade- alg 1
tested for math in high school
9th grade- geo-alg 2
10th grade- trig-anal
11th grade- AP Calc AB
my track isn't that uncommon at my school

hey how come my school doesn't allow skipping??? even the smartest kid who aced the hardest teacher in our class stayed w/ the curriculum (altho i'm a year ahead of the rest of the grade and he's a senior -- therefore he's probably just considered as regular in his grade).

but next yr (senior), i'm most likely to just skip to AP calc BC

Well in my state anybody is allowed to take a test out. It's a law. If you get over 80% the school MUST let you move on to the next course.

Regarding the advanced math, our school disctrict has what is called "telescoping." Kids as young as third grade can go to the next more advanced math class. Some of the 5th graders are bussed to the middle school for math. Some of the 8th, and even 7th graders, go the high school for math. If your district doesn't offer this, you should get some kids and parents together and lobby for it, even if it's too late to benefit you.

To the people with like 9 classes per school day -- how long are you classes? Like 35 minutes?

^^^ most probably erither have block scheduling or do some classes one semester and the remainder of the classes the other semester.

Yeah, that always confused me too. I like our school's schedule; we can take seven classes, and on wednesday we have longer periods (1-4) along with thursday (5-7, with a conference period/late arrival).

Last year I took:
