So my junior year has been, compared to other years, not nearly as great. I got basically all A's the past two years. Now, I'm basically getting a bunch of B's, with what seems to be a downward trend in GPA from freshman year. This quarter especially has been rough, since I totally bombed a BC Precalc test and bombed a BC precalc quiz later, then bombed an Honors English test on Huck Finn. Any advice on how to get through this, especially with these reading tests. My top school is Carnegie Mellon, if that helps at all.

I’m in the same boat- Junior year has been terrible GPA wise. I recommend, from experience, to step back from everything and take it subject by subject and concentrate on your weaknesses. Only one more semester left of this awful, awful year. Hang in there!

It may look bad but just remember that a 4.0 gpa isn’t necessary to get into Carnegie mellon. Also, think more about the learning experience than grades because you need passion in something that you want to focus on later in life. Pull through and good luck!
