Junior year sucks.

Academically, junior year Sucked. Even so, it was better than a great academic soph year because of the experiences that came with the age. Senior year will be (and darn well should be) a breeze if you play your course load right. And if you are taking APs and you know you're going to a school who's going to count them then put in the little extra time and do well! There's more to it than just passing. The difference between a 3 and 4 could mean the difference in a semester worth of English credit or an entire year (aka never have to take English again!)

Good luck

well, keep in mind that it's only october and you still have a long way to go til the year ends. If you find yourself overwhelmed with ECs try focusing on school work more and catch up on your ECs during winter/spring break, or senior year. Also, you might have to break some habits from last year and realize that junior year is different from the rest. If I were you, I would approach a senior that ended up with good grades last year and ask him/her what he/she did to succeed.

Academically, it sucks right now. 3 Bs and 3 A's . Socially, it also sucks. I only get to see my friends once a week since they take full IB and I don't.

yeah..my 61 in a ap chemistry test has awaken me to reality..but i didn't study too long b/c i was soo busy, which teaches me a lesson...
i have been doing pretty well until now..that 61, and a statistics test that i'm pretty sure i failed...
junior year does suck..

Yet, you studied at all? And got a 61? UUUUuhhm

Getting owned by AP Chem?

HAHA Yeah I am. That class is freaking ridiculous. We're using the same book that UNC-Chapel Hill uses, and our teacher doesn't explain anything, so it's an entirely self taught course.

And all it is is a bunch of glorified math problems with chemical words in them. Can it get any more boring than that?

Standing at a 78% as of now. Big test on Orgo Equations on Wednesday, and that's when I'm gonna get my a$$ handed to me.

ahhhh...the nine weeks ends this friday and every one of my classes decided to give a test this week. I don't even know how my grade's going to end up. Our wonderful teacher decided to tell us our ridiculously hard spa. 9 weeks test is tomorrow and my only hope to bring up my chem grade up 4 points is a test we have wednesday, rumored to be the hardest test we'll have this year. YAY and I won't even have time to study tomorrow...much less watch the debate once I get home from working.
damn....and PSATs are next week
don't i just love life...I'm going to go and attempt to study more now

^ honestly, if money is ANY consideration, and you're in the range (2-5 points around last year's cutoff in either direction) you should definitely prepare for the PSATs. Just from being a semi-finalist, I've gotten at least 3 full-ride offers, and many scholarships note that you need to be one to receive it...

I had 2 As and 2 Bs last term. I hope I get As in all of my courses. :[
AP Calculus is like my easiest course, lul.

I have a D+ in AP world. Anyone else with a D? ;)

AP US is a beast of a class at my school. I don't know a single person who got an A last year.

same here guys

jr. year

precal hrs - B <--DAMMIT
ushist - A+ <--CP class it's easy
AP BIO - B+ <-- DAMN! even though i'm ranked 2nd in the class
AP CHEM - ? <--1.5 months into the school year. first test is this friday. lol
Anatomy&physio - A+ <--CP class it's easy
AP Eng A- <--I was thinkin that english was my weakness, but its apparently the strongest grade i have that's not CP.

and yeah, jr. year sucks. I don't feel i'm learning anything at all.

ehh i am looking at 4Bs and 2As this quarter. Bye bye gpa.

im aiming for 4 As and 2 Bs this year... but what's funny is that i always do worst in my easiest classes. Last year I got As in my honors and like B+s in my REALLY easy classes. I don't know what it is, but now my lowest grade is in what is probably my easiest class (Astronomy). It's really killing me lol

Junior Year's actually been pretty good for me, I've been having a lot of fun, and my grades have been pretty good. Better than that of the slump I call Sophomore year.

AP Bio- A
AP Physics- No idea, the teacher's grading is arbitrary, no way to predict.
AP Lang. & Comp- A
US Regents- A (***, I should have an A+, it's a regular class.)
Spanish 4AP/Honors/Pre-AP/whatever- A
Precalc H.- B-B+ (I had a 102 on one test and then a 63 on the other. My teacher told me that it isn't a big deal at all, but I want my bloody A back.)
Orchestra- A+
Free Period every other day- A+ (I work my ass off for that one.)

I'm looking forward to this year. No joke.

ughh IB is hard! damnit.

lol...I have 89s or 90s in basically all my classes :) oh well...we get extra grade points for APs so I'm not complaining, next week is beastly :(

SOMEONE HELP ME!!!! I have done so well my whole high school career and now i am in 6 AP classes and just feel overwhelmed. i know you are going to yell at me that I overloaded myself but would colleges rather see the Bs in the AP classes or the straight As with one or two APs???

I. Cant. Wait. Until. Senior. Year.

AP Chem isn't so bad. AP Calc AB is kinda kicking my butt though!

I can't even THINK about spring when all the AP exams come up/SAT Subject tests/SATs..
I'm barely making it through this semester! Mostly getting to sleep around midnight/1am which isnt that late but doing that for most of the week is pretty exhausting!

I'm hoping this'lll be the hardest year because next year my courseload will lighten up because Calc BC is wayyy easier than AB (took me a while to process the derivative/integral stuff hah) and I'll have AP Chem out of the way and all my Subject Tests. Only SAT/College apps to worry about next year...

AHHH

i am hoping colleges like b's in ap's better..b/c that's what i'm getting..i just took my finals..and got 80s on both ap chem/ap stats..which have literally just killed my grades...i am just waiting for this week to be over..
