Junior year sucks.

i cant wait until i can apply, get in, and get out of high school.

I think colleges WILL look more favorably if you get a B in an AP classes vs. an A in a regular class. I mean, obviously it's more challenging and it shows you're willing to work harder. And you can still get college credit if you do well on the AP exam. In fact, many people with Bs in AP classes..or even Cs in my school..still manage to get that 5 on the AP exam.

Spruce--I couldn't agree more!

This week has been hell. Can't wait till the holidays.

Senior year is harder and more stressful than junior year for me, but I have also doubled the amount of AP's that I took in junior year. Junior year wasn't even that different from sophomore year, they were about the same level of difficulty.

lol so yeah this quarter is worse than last :[ I actually pulled off a 94 first quarter but this quarter i have a 78 so far.

Junior year sucks, but wait until you get to your senior year. That's REALLY going to suck!

yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a thread for ranting. Lol I might have posted here before already but I'm gonna do it again cuz junior year truly does suck. I had 2 tests on Tuesday, I have 2 more on Friday, I had a band concert yesterday and have another orchestra concert tomorrow :)))))))))))))))) F my life.

I'm in IB also. It's killing me. I have 4 B's, when previously I've had straight A's. I'm on about 5 hours of sleep per night and have no social life lol.

But I'm so glad I took it :)

chill man!
i am full IB with AP USH, as well as an additional French course so that I don't have a lunch, and I got 2 B's and 7 A's, and I'm aiming for Penn also.
But the B's aren't scaring me, and I think you'll be fine! Good Luck!

senior year is gonna rule so much. im just gonna get my apps together nowish/over the summer, then its artartartartart, i plan having art for over 1/4 of my classes.

junior year seemed like it would be the most fun

I don't think it can get much worse that junior year. I'm actually expecting senior year to be the best, with the excitement of college coming up, and the fact that I'll be in college half the day.

The "same old, same old" high school experience is just getting old.. seeing the same people, in the same places, eating the same lunch, with the same people, in the same room, at the same table, taking the same notes, in your assigned seat, in your boring class, in the same boring hall, with the same boring lockers... EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR LIFE.
..you get the idea.

Senior year, the light at the end of the tunnel can be seen. Junior year is just horrible in all cases.

^ I know..I'm actually really looking forward to senior year.

I think people might think senior year is more stressful because not only do you have your regular courseload, you have your college apps to do as well.
So I'm going to start on mine over the summer and get my common app done and hopefully half/a majority of my supplements.

Also, I get my hardest classes (in my opinion) out of the way this year. Even though I'll probably be taking the same amount of AP classes..they'll be easier ones.

This week has been horrible though!!! Finals suck.
I love just ranting on this thread. hahahahah

I'm loving junior year :D

I hate people who are like “I’m jealous to you who can check your marks online”

My parents act like *****es. They get mad if I get lower than 95 even though it’s still an A. They check every INDIVIDUAL grade. I got yelled at for 4/5 on a worksheet with 98% in a class. While it’s occasionally convenient, your parents get like 10000000 times stricter about grades with constant access.

My parents havn’t ever checked my grades, sucks to be you ^

Junior year was hell… for the first quarter. My grades in AP Chem and Calc AB went up because of increased self-confidence and more self-motivation. Second semester was harder, but I did better.

Senior year should be easier. Working for the yearbook, having an editorial job for the newspaper, Red Cross, AP Bio, AP Calc BC, AP Gov (possibly US and Comparative), college applications, anticipating acceptance letters, and self-studying APHG are going to fill my time.

Haha, junior year was the best. For senior year, it’s kind of busy for the first half of the year because you have to finish all the college apps and try to keep grades up out of the possibility that the midyear report may actually make a difference, but after that, senioritis kicks in, especially after April first, then after that it’s just counting time, work on extracurriculars, making sure that you don’t fail any class, and… waiting for summer :p.

I loved junior year. I grew a lot academically and socially, got my ECs straight, and went on some awesome trips. Around March, it hit me that the seniors I previously had to work around and/or appease were leaving soon. Major confidence booster :)
