Junior Year Transfer. Hope I'm weird/unique enough!

Hey guys,

I'm considering to be a junior year transfer. I'm thinking of applying to Yale, Stanford, UPenn, Brown, Cornell, UChicago, Vanderbilt, Emory, Northwestern, Georgetown, Columbia, Dartmouth, and JHU. If you guys have any suggestions on any other schools I should consider applying to (or not applying to and taking off my list) please let me know!

I'm interested in studying cognitive neuroscience/psychology and business/economics/management. My interest is an interdisciplinary area of studying the anatomical cognitive functions that contribute to people's behavior in a business or economic setting.

Was accepted to Emory last transfer cycle, but starting to rethink my decision.

Thoughts?

…bump?

You certainly have a good shot at all of them. Good luck!

Yeah, the patent pending and NPO caught my attention. I’d focus on that.

I’m not too well-rehearsed in this chancing thing, but your chances Cornell and Emory look pretty good. The others look like high matches or reaches. But building upon what NCXfer said, I could see you getting into a couple of the reaches too. :)

Any other chances? Would like more opinions!

Most of those schools are crazy for transfer, but I definitely see you competing for one of those 50 or so spots in places like Stanford. Good Luck!

Hey all,

I thought I had a really strong shot at all these schos but I guess what they say about the admissions process is right: it really is a crapshoot.

If anyone was interested, here are a few decisioms so far

ACCEPTED: emory, vanderbilt
REJECTED: upenn, corne

I am really hoping to get into georgetown but seeing as vandy and emorys transfer acceptances were in the high 20% s and georgetown last year was at 13%, im no longer too confident.

Any chances? What do you all think?
