I was wondering if the schedule:
Precalculus
Honors U.S. History
Honors Physiology
AP Spanish Literature
Honors English
Folklorico
would look better than
Precalculus
AP U.S. History
Honors Physiology
AP Spanish Literature
English (not honors)
Folklorico
Will regular english junior year look bad? I took honors freshman and sophomore year.
Both are equivalent, but a student who takes APUSH probably needs to be in English H (or AP English Lang), not regular English, in order to have a shot at a decent score.
What is Folklorico? It sounds like an EC, not a class.
Folklorico is part of the performing arts requirement. I am currently taking the second schedule. Would I have been better off taking the first schedule?
Can you take APUSH and Honors English?
Its already too late to move ): I switched out of honors English because the teacher gave a ridiculous amount of homework. If I would’ve stayed I would have probably failed precal because she is known to give fails. Aside from that my other grades would also drop due to the lack of time. I was already starting to see a drop so that’s why I moved. My sister had the same teacher for English and managed to get an A but a C in APUSH. However, her schedule was more manageable since she was taking Trigonometry and other easier courses.
So, you made the best decision you could based on your specific parameters. Do not second guess yourself. Do your best, get A’s in regular English, supplement this with A LOT of reading (magazines, contemporary and classical fiction, and non fiction) and try to write (keep a blog on something you like/are passionate about, or about your life??)
Yes thank you so much for your advice (: I am planning on doing AP English next year .
Either are fine. taking one over the other does not matter at all.
