Juniors- How Far Along Are You in the Process

What have you done so far in the college process, like visiting schools, taking SATs, etc.

I didn't do anything until I signed up for the SAT in spring of junior year, then I took it (no prep/studying) and didn't do anything until I applied to a school in november.

I've visited three schools (one of my state schools and two others) and I've been reading through the college guidebooks my mom bought for me. I'm trying to decide what it is that I want from my college experience. I'd like to look at a combination of schools big and small, urban and rural, public and private. My friends and I are all at different stages in the process. Some have looked at 10-15 schools, others have not even begun. I'd like to take my time. I don't want to make the process any more stressful than it has to be, so I'd like to spread out my college visits. I hope to decide on my first choice by the fall of my senior year, however, so that I can apply early decision if I so choose. What about the rest of the juniors on here?

FYI, you will probably find the perfect school for you approximately a month before the deadline. If you're lucky. This is the unwritten rule of the college search that has caused generation upon generation of seniors anguish and anxiety.
Moral: Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I've done unreasonable amounts of research (CC = excellent procrastination tool) and I'm going to be taken my SATs for the second time tomorrow. I was also forced into taking an SAT II once, so I think that helped a bit.
No visits though. I don't want to rush into it and make myself stress more than I have to right now.

I've compiled a list of 12 schools.
I've taken the SAT I already (but I have to retake it - 1950 >.<)
I plan on taking two SAT IIs in January (Math II and Spanish)
I'm applying to a summer program so I have to do other junk.

Not really planning on visiting schools.
