Just a reminder/warning to everyone about status changes...

As we tiptoe closer to April 1st, I would just like to make an announcement.

In previous years, everyone's status changed to the accepted status progression (they didn't have "forwarded" before so it's hard to explain) eventually, regardless of whether they were accepted or rejected. The reason they knew it meant that they were accepted was because for a lot of people it changed very early in the process (and rejections are the last to go out).

I would just like to remind everyone that some people who change from "forwarded" to "being reviewed" might NOT be accepted. I'm not trying to be mean or dash anyone's hopes; in fact, I'm trying to do the opposite. I just want everyone to be prepared and not assume that "being reviewed" means they got accepted.

Remember, the best way to know is by checking the backdoor link:
https://camel2.usc.edu/AdmCertification/Commit.aspx

If it doesn't work, don't assume anything... YET. As we know, sometimes links go down and sometimes links don't work for people days after they've gotten an acceptance letter in the mail. The only way to know 100% is if you get the package in the mail.

With that said, good luck to everyone and fight on. :)

fall admits still have a chance this weekend right?

Yes. Someone called admissions and they said decisions will be going out this week AND next. For some people acceptances may arrive after April 1st just because the mail can be slow.

there’s still that spark of hope  hehe

my status just changed today to forwarded. oh goodness im getting more nervous by the second. USC would be amazing to get into.

I hate that backend link. :stuck_out_tongue: But I’m obsessed with it. Just trying so hard to give my son some good news!

bumping this. :)

my status has been forwarded for about a month now. i was wondering if u have been forwarded for this long… it is likely that you are going to be rejected?

Nothing is likely or unlikely at this point, to be honest. We’re in the last stretch and we just have to wait it out for a few more days. :)

I’ve been forwarded since 3/13.

My will finally broke… I checked the backdoor and got “invalid login” I only tried it once, so i’m hoping i misunderstood how to properly log in but at this point…I don’t know what to think. I felt alot more optimistic with my phone call the other day but…ahh…of well

@Fieralds

if you get invalid login, your doing it right, but you haven’t been accepted yet and or its possibly mailed out very recently. Sorry to say

the problem is that i know that they have reviewed my app already. Regardless, I will still hope for the best but understand it is a great possibility that my fear has come true.

oh well  Congratulations to all who have been accepted and who are to be accepted!

best of luck to all as always!

so invalid login means youre in???

are you sure?/

no, invalid login does NOT mean you’re in. All i was saying is that I already know that they’ve reviewed my app so it almost means for sure that i’ve been rejected.

@ Fieralds

How do you know that they have already reviewed your app?
