Hi all you USC folks. I'm just checking to let you know that DD is all settled in (finally) at Santa Clara. Their classes started on the 18th and so far she likes them. The only disappointment is the quality of the orchestra (which is the only ensemble...that would NOT have been the case at USC). But she sounds happy so far. Hope all is going well for all of your kiddos at USC!!

Nice of you to check in.Everythings going great for S. Loving the football games and dorm life, loves being in the South.Interviewed yesterday to be a tour guide so future Gamecocks may get to "know" him.
He has friends in the orchestra/marching band/theater programs, even went to the first orchestra concert where one played oboe and another viola.
Glad your D is adjusting and hope she likes living in Ca.Did you ever find out if they'd honor her scholarship at USC if she chose to transfer?Just curious as to what their policy is.....

I didn't call...but I suspect not. The McKissick is for incoming freshmen. However, they DO have scholarships for transfer students. Glad all is going well at USC. It sounds like life in the south is terrific!! Good luck with the tour guide job. I thought those guides were terrific...they DID the info session while walking around. It was the best tour of all the 28 schools we visited with our two kids.
