Essays should be decent if not outstanding.

Uh, so… which school are you applying to? CAS? Stern?

Stern is what i’m shooting for. Undecided if not.

I’m not sure I understand you. You’re applying for Stern, but undecided? What?

Regardless, for Stern your ACT scores are on the low side, I think. Using this conversion table (<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools)%5B/url%5D”>www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/highered/ra/sat/satACT_concordance.pdf), your composite score is equal to a 1340/1600. Ideally, you’d have 700+ on each section of the SAT, so I guess that translates into an ideal composite score of 32. Higher test scores NEVER hurt.

i’m done with ACT. took it three times.

does stern have it’s own ACT/SAT score range?

A search of Google using “nyu stern average act score” turned up the following.

http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/undergraduate/06profiles/stern1.htm</a></p>

So it might not be so bad for you after all. You’re still in the low end of the scale, but getting admission certainly looks possible.

so do i have a fair shot?

bumpidy bump

your stats are a bit low for Stern. the ppl that i know in Stern already did business internships in high school. you might be put in GSP with your SAT/ACT stats but you’re guarenteed a ride to Stern in less than two years. i think you’d have a fair shot for CAS/GSP-CAS, but you wouldn’t have a chance to transfer to Stern from there. (4.0 GPAs get turned down)
