I just finished my 3rd Physics 1 test and pretty sure this one was terrible. I’m talking like if I got a 40 I’d be happy. I’m sure at least most of everyone else bombed it as well. Teacher doesn’t curve, but we get test corrections, but in front of him etc. I’m not really sad (I actually find it funny for some reason), but now I am scared of continuing Mechanical Eng. Currently have an 81 in the class, and I always shoot for a 80 or above. But I’m sure this’ll drop me to a 70-something.
Is this common? This feeling of temporary insanity due to STEM?
When you say “3rd test”, are you sure you don’t mean quiz? Unless you’re in a class that doesn’t run along a typical semester schedule, having a 3rd test (exam) this soon after the semester started seems kind of odd.
If that’s the case, don’t sweat it, it’s just a quiz and people bomb those things all the time (obviously your mission shouldn’t be to bomb any quizzes, but it’s not uncommon to do so). Take, learn from it, pick back up and do better next time. Don’t let it discourage you.
Totally agree with Soclydeza but would add that you might explore tutoring options.
