I was just contacted for an interview that will happen this week. Will this have any impact on my admission? It seems a little late to make a difference.

They just had an interview weekend on Feb 24 & 25, and my son was asked to resend his transcript last Friday. I'd say it's definitely not too late.(And because of the interview, JHU has become his first choice school... who knows it might make a difference in your decision making)

Do to complications with the alumni interview program this year, the coordinator did extend the deadline for when interviews could be conducted. If you are having your interview this week, your interviewer will complete his/her report and submit it to the coordinator soon after. It will arrive in time to be added to your file.

Do remember though that interviews are more informational than evaluative, so it will play little to no role in the evaluation process.

If interest is expressed in an interview is that noted with the applicant's file?

No. Since interviews are optional (not required), a request for an interview does not impact an admissions decision so it is not added to a student's application.
