I always read on here how everyone buys A LOT of prep books and stuff when they're preparing for APs, SATs, etc. What exactly do you guys do with all your prep books afterwards when they're not needed anymore...?

You could give it away to the next generation.

Give them away.

Give away/ sell them. Whichever you prefer.

I get prep books from the library whenever I can. I just keep the ones I’ve bought because I don’t really have anyone to give them to.

We gave ours to kids in the neighborhood.

Younger sibling, lower classmen, sell, donate.

Giving them to a friend is the easiest idea. You could also give it to the teacher of that class so they can loan it to students in future years (for an AP book).

Some of them may be useful to keep. For example, I took AP Calc as a junior. I knew that I couldn’t fit Calc II into my senior schedule so I kept my AP prep book so I can review it before taking calc in college since I will probably forget some stuff in the meantime.

Also, if you don’t want to have the burden try sharing a prep book with a friend. My friend and I are taking 4 of the same AP tests so we each bought two books and trade every now again. That might be an option if you have friends taking the same tests at the same time. And many teachers have books they are willing to loan so that’s an optio as well, as is the library.

I donated some of them to Goodwill/Salvation Army - I gave a few others to my teachers as classroom copies. Like another poster said, I’m probably gonna keep my Calc books just because I, 1, largely anticipate failing the AP exam and will have to take Calc in college, and 2, I’ve done a lot of work in Calc and I’d rather I not just forget all of it and let it go to waste by disposing of my notes/materials.

Hoard them in my room.
Just kidding, I haven’t taken an AP test yet so I don’t have any test prep books!!!

Lol. I was actually wondering if some people actually did hoard them.
