So far I haven’t failed a single test and have gotten 80% and higher on my tests so far. I was mostly prepared for my midterm but due to a muckup in schedule I got to the test late with only about 30 minutes and didn’t have time to complete the test.
(The day before the test I asked the professor if schedule for midterm had changed due to the hurricane and he replied with “regular schedule” and a link to a calandar notice that stated 12-12:30. Not doubting the professor I didn’t check the original schedule for the exam and got to the test at around 11:40, to my surprise test started way before and here I was with a 2 hour test to do in 40 minutes.)
Im currently in panic and am not sure what to do about this test.
I’m not sure what exactly you would like us the either ‘chance’ or give advice on?
The only thing people here can say is speak with your professor. Not sure what else you expect from random forums users who don’t know either your or your professor.
First step is probably speaking with your professor as jpgranier said up above. Next step would be to investigate your drop options – can you withdraw from the class with no penalty except maybe a W on your transcript? If so, keep that in mind while you see what your prof has to say.
what’s a muckup? what is the reason that you got to the test late? Did you muck up?
A candid discussion with the professor would provide you your best guidance on how to proceed. It’s not the end of the world. It actually might not even be bad. Until you’ve had the candid discussion. you just don’t know.
Print out the email + schedule and take it to the professor’s office and explain what happened. You have documented evidence your were given the incorrect time. He should let you retake it, and if he doesn’t- go to the dean and explain what happened.
I would go to his/her office and explain the situation (showing the evidence), and propose that your final exam grade be substituted…the main thing is do you understand the info at the end of the semester?
