enjoy

^^^hey I knew a few, seen a few!! I am a photo people!!

Wow, this Polidori finds such beauty in destruction. My H bought a photo books ages ago called “Dead Tech” that he loves. Photos of the Maginot line falling into the sea, the old docks in NYC keeling over, etc.

It sounded French-y and I wondered if that is what I saw in the movie “the diving bell and the butterfly”
WRONG!
ah I learn so very much from this forum. art moms have wide interests and so very smart but fun.
so what do you call those crystal-y blue cliffs braking and falling into the ocean in the movie? just an iceberg or some mineral thing happening?

I didn’t see the movie but it sounds like an ice shelf breaking off into the sea.

Oh… not much fun as “having an excellent bosom” sort of breakthrough I was expecting.

Reminds me a little of these guys

oh gawd those are scary… so many mental institutions and put away hospitals. ohhhh the dark brown background and layout of webface are creep… good site but don’t want to frequent it.

You are inspiring me to pull out my old work. I did a series of portraits of teenage girls in Yonkers and Staten Island. Lots of big hair and earrings. Had my kids pretty soon after college and put the camera down. No more wandering the streets for me. No complaints. It was time to make home.

Two of my NYU Photo classmates have books published now:
Richard Renaldi: [richard renaldi - photographs](http://www.renaldi.com/)
Sue Kwon: [Street Level by Sue Kwon | Hypebeast](Street Level by Sue Kwon | Hypebeast)

you should totally do something with your pile of works!
I talked to mom friend from kindergarten recently after long time and turned out she got her own photo website!
I knew she was teaching but had no idea what sort of thing she did. those days there were not even everyday everyone’s cell phone, no nothing really. we’d chat in hallways, call on ground phone to arrange playdate and stuff.
now anyone with the access could see her works, what’s up and whereabout, could reach her 24/7 scary but amazing, eh?

Drop off Draekid at school and pick up the camera again! That big hair and earrings look hasn’t changed and you might even see some interestingly similar subjects at RISD.

Thanks guys. Maybe I just will. I’ll be pining for my oldest and my youngest is going on exchange for 4 months. It will be just me and DH for the first time in 18 years. I want to see if I can digitize some of those old negatives and play around with photoshop and digital printing too.

Anyone interested in some old darkroom equipment? It’s been sitting up in the attic for years. Nice stuff. Enlarger with a good lens. We even have a large stainless darkroom sink. I used to print professionally. The chemicals started to freak me out after a while. I would get tingling in my arms by the end of the day. Though the darkroom was a magical place. Real alchemy going on. I guess it’s the same with photoshop but I don’t know, it’s not quite as romantic.

I love how this totally went off on a tangent. How artistic !

Isn’t it?
so are you going to come to NY and pick up drae’s darkroom sink or what?
