<p>Has ANYONE heard back yet who applied around the last week of December? I had my portfolio approved but I reapplied to the BFAW program and they told me it would just take two weeks but its been three weeks and I'M GOING INSANE. </p>
<p>who has heard from this school, when did you submit all your materials and how long did it take them to get back to you?</p>
<p>Just a thought, but the weather might have to do with it. I live in southern Illinois and we just got a big two day ice storm. So Chicago might have really bad weather that's holding back your reply.</p>

<p>i applied over thanksgiving break and didn't get a response until january 12...</p>
<p>i was getting really antsy the first week of january so i emailed them and they said that they could not process my application because they had not yet received my sat scores (even though i requested them from collegeboard in early december and it's only supposed to take 4 weeks) so i scanned my scores in and sent them in so they could process my app while they waited for the official scores to come in (the lady said sat scores were coming in 8-10 weeks instead of 2-4weeks)</p>
<p>once they got my scores i got a letter from saic in around 8-10 days</p>
<p>I actually emailed them last night and i got this response this morning:</p>

<p>Congratulations on being admitted into the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). </p>
<p>Our office received and processed your application as of January 27, 2009. Please expect official notification of this fact by mail within the next ten business days.</p>
<p>In the meantime, the deadline for freshmen to submit a portfolio of ten slides or digital image on CD (in jpeg format at 72dpi no more than 600 pixels in any direction) for Merit Scholarship consideration is February 15, 2008 (ALL materials must be in our office by this date as it is NOT a postmarked deadline). It is highly encouraged that you capitalize upon this opportunity.</p>

<p>my portfolio was approved at npd around jan15th...i finallly called the office and they told me i had been admitted...still no letter or email though...</p>
