<p>The salutatorian of my school got the acceptance email and she was being considered for HEOP/C-STEP as well. I’m REALLY scared, now. Darn.</p>

<p>yes, CA. And my son applied to and auditioned for Steinhardt. He would not be accepted for any other program (plus he got an actual “likely” email from his specific department head - jazz - after he auditioned.) Students who were emailed are accepted to the program they applied for!</p>

<p>I got the email, but how do I know if I got into Stern? I chose Stern on the Common App, so does that mean if I got the email from NYU, I’m automatically in Stern, too? Or do I have to get an email from Stern? Ah, this is confusing!</p>

<p>miXwui, you can’t get into NYU without getting into your major/dept. They don’t allow people to apply to more than one school or major, period. So congrats!!!</p>

<p>wait never mind, i just looked and other people got their emails earlier than i did, and my last name begins with an ‘A’. I was just going by the number of people that had received the travel plans email but not the acceptance, and assumed it was alphabetical.</p>

<p>Also got this email. Last name Gomez, and also heard people ealier in alphabetical order got admission letters after me, so doesn’t seem to be going in alphabetical order. I guess it wasn’t too hard to get into Stern. Then again, maybe they dropped me in the undecided pile. Guess I’ll have to wait for the official letter, this one was too vague for my liking.</p>
