I've been admitted as a transfer at senior level, but I'm supposed to transfer as a junior? I have only taken classes at community college, no where else. I do have over 80 units, I believe 86. Does this mean anything? Does this mean I'm a senior, or still a junior with senior level status? I remember reading somewhere when applying that students who are transferring with community college units only, can't have be a senior, or something like that...

It’s probably a clerical error, but it doesn’t matter. UCI doesn’t place a cap on the total number of units you can transfer in for subject credit (they’ll transfer a max of 70 from a CCC for unit credit). Since you’ve been admitted, you should be fine. Just know that you’ll have to complete 36 of the last 45 quarter units in residence at UCI, even though you might not need to when you consider your raw number of units.

congratulations! Were you notified via email, or did you have to log-in to the UCI portal message center? I applied to UCI but for psychology and social behavior and am a transfer as well.

I posted this in the other thread as well. But here it is again.

So I got my email at exactly 3 am.

I had to log into uci’s application status thing, and right after you log in, you’re presented with “You have been admitted to UCI!” and right below that is your admissions summary stating your level, major, and school. and some other information.

I think it may have to do with your unit count. My boyfriend also got in as a “Senior” according to Cal Poly SLO. He has around the same number of units and has only attended our community college and is a transfer student as well.
