JUST got my waiting list reply card

wow. Its May 7th, I get home after completing my Math HL paper 1 IB exam, and my duke decision waits for me in my mailbox. Completely forgot about it the past few days with exams and all.

Well, I do live in Hong Kong, but its a bit ridiculous that air mail takes a month and a half to be sent. My friend who also got waitlisted got his as well. Perhaps the office needs to time things a bit better?

but yeah. I won't be going to Duke next year anyway, so good luck to all of you

It's not really their fault. International mail takes ages. They FedEx'ed me my acceptance package. I'm guessing the logic for sending the waitlist decisions by normal mail to International students is that if a student really wants his place in the waitlist - he'll contact Duke through e-mail or telephone. So they don't care if the mail takes time or not.
