read counsellor's letter. very good. top 1% for every category.

schools (all rd):
yale
cornell
penn
columbia
hopkins
brown
dartmouth
caltech
stanford
berkeley
ucla

please chance me...so nervous!!!

dont think you have much to worry about. i think you know your standardized test scores are fantastic. cal schools are tough to get into out of state… but you look like ivy material. why didn’t you apply somewhere ED?

@kelloggss: Just out of curiosity, what’s the name of the school you go to? btw I’m Canadian too.

Your SAT scores look fine.

Cornell’s winters will feel like the tropics compared to Edmonton!

haha, thats for sure… its minus 30 celsius here :(

bumpppppppppppppppppppp

wow man, you have great stats, you make people like me not want to apply to all the ivies lol!!

mosudan:

are you from sudan? i’m sure just about every sudanese student can get into cornell. those demographics odds will be phenomenal.

You’re definately on the right track. I can easily picture you with a clear shot at the ‘lower’ ivies (penn, cornell) along with the Cal’s. But no one can gaurantee anything for something like the ivies.

thanks. it would mean the world for me if i can make it into cornell or any of the “lower ivies” u mentioned haha

i think you are as good as in at cornell.

edit:

just saw something disturbing:
read counsellor’s letter. very good. top 1% for every category.

this letter seems like the counselor is only trying to help out and does not put in what she thinks. it REALLY is unlikely to be have a quality that is the best your counselor has seen in her career in everything. i think admissions officers give little credence or weight to a perfect top1% counselor rec.

yes, i definitely agree. but thats what she put so i might as well live with it.

bumpppppppppppppppppp

Bump much?

lol bump muchhh

you make me feel impossible to enter a ivy league school. lol

Awesome stats! I think you are definitely an in for Cornell! People with SATs < 2000 get into Cornell all the time, so good luck!
