Just have a year to prepare.

I am an indian studying in the eleventh grade and I just decided to try and write the SAT. All I know is that it has reading writing and math. How do I start preparing for it considering I have about a year to study? (There are no prep classes where I live). I want to score really good!(I guess every one does) Thank you in advance :)

I would recommend you work with a sat prep book like “cracking the sat” by princeton review. they go through with you all the different question types on the sat and give you strategies for each. also, get a good vocab book like “word smart” and do a handful of words each day. a little each day adds up, especially for vocab.

@monticello59: Thanks a lot :)

I saw in the internet that the SAT Bible trilogy by powerscore is good for a beginner but I couldn’t see any other review in the net. I have the time to work through it. Is it really good?

Get the collegeboard bluebook. I went through it for about 3 weeks before my test and raised my score from a 1980 to a 2240.

3 weeks huh? wow! okay thanks…

If anyone has heard about the book that I mentioned earlier (bible trilogy) please do write your reviews. Thank you in advance :)
