Just how important are SAT II's for admission?

I don't think admissions officers are going to use SAT IIs as the sole decision factor

^ For that matter, no singular feature of your app is going to get you selected or rejected. You might as well say: SATs, essay, ECs, interview and GPA don't matter. So why work towards them?

SAT II scores are important for schools that use strictly the point system like UCSD and UCD. But the UCs will not be using SAT II in the future, not sure exactly when.

Wowza, i can't believe some people believe that getting a low 700 is bad, even for extremely selective schools. If they think this is bad, how about getting not 1, but 3 awful scores!!!! (500's!!!) Needless to say, I only submitted my sat scores to 1 school, thanks to the life-saving nature of the ACTs. I'm pretty sure that my 3 awful scores will be the final straw between an acceptance and a rejection (rejection on my end), but that is also relative to the rest of my stats (average/not all that great in comparison).

trackie10x- My friend did not submit her SAT scores. She sent her ACT scores and never took the SAT I. Therefore, her SAT II scores were not sent.
